Paintings,Photography,Sketches

The original sketch of mine to the right of this is of Canadian Prime Minister Harper and it is a preliminary sketch redone a couple of time. I sketch and then 'paint' them in often and sometimes leave them as pencil or ink sketches. You may see more of my sketches on these websites of mine:

and other sites also, but not to worry, always decent! And may be viewed by anyone of any age in any nation. This sketch is one of the prep work sketches I do before i paint into oils a particular image. I have painted many of my sketches into oils, and often adapt them as I go. That is called 'artistic license' --meaning the artist owns the perogative to change/modify her own 'work' of painting paintings.

To the right of this you will see another sketch I drew and then painted that is similar to Prince Charles of the U K that I saw in the BBC news one day. I say it is similar because I do not attempt to exactly paint any living person.  I adhere to the Commandments of GOD in not making images to worship and I think that there is a tendency by some to worship Royalty. So this is not intended to be an image for worshipping! Obviously. It is merely a sketch and I may paint it later into oils. I did sketch Prince Charles about four different times in different clothing and I may add them so you could compare them. Some people think that artists have natural talent and perhaps that is true to an extent but it also takes 'work' in painting, sometimes repainting several times. I mean no disrespect by painting or sketching anyone including Royalty or Prime Ministers.  Sometimes  I paint them to see if I could and at other times it is because I liked what they were wearing that day in the news. This is a powdered pastel sketch only by Gloria Poole. All sketches and photographs on this website are originals and I Gloria Poole own the copyright to my paintings, sketches, drawings, poems, and photographs of them and also to my genre photography. I also sketched the Queen and it is on one of these websites of mine but I forgot which one:

or maybe in the set in the paragraph above. Look for it.

To the left you will see my sketch named 'sisters' and it is acrylics, watercolors and inks. It is a sketch only that I did on 5-June-2010.
To the right you will see my OIL PAINTING named The Scotsman. I am adding UK and Canadian people to this website to honor the nation that helped me get control of my domain. Thank you doteasy! This painting is 16 x 20 and it is not of a real person but is one of a series of paintings of different nationalities in my goal to paint a painting of every ethnic group of a common language, tongue, ancestry, origin in an effort to show that GOD loves all people and that all people are made in the image of GOD and have an innate beauty to them. You may see more of my ethnic original paintings I painted at these websites of mine:

This is the third time I have sketched Canadian Prime Minister Harper. This is a sketch only in powdered pastels. I have not met the Canadian Prime Minister but I see his photo in the BBC news from time to time. I sketch/draw/paint all sorts of people. I hope he likes this if he ever sees it, and I hope the people of Canada do also.
You may see the most recent sketch I sketched of Prince Charles of the UK at this blog of mine:

To the left, you will see another sketch of a child that I painted 1-June-2010.  It is inks, watercolors, acrylics also.
